Evictions will be listed on an applicant's history. TransUnion considers other rental factors that include: tenant judgment for possession and money, unlawful detainers, tenant judgments for rent, failure to pay rent, and writs and warrants of eviction.
An eviction history can occur for a variety of reasons. While unfortunate, such histories are not permanent. However, they will stay on a person's record for seven years. Thereafter, they will be deleted from one's credit report and rental history.
Some advice for those with eviction histories: be forthright when applying for housing. A candid and honest applicant can help a landlord consider one as a trustworthy tenant.
