Turn on Rental assistant for a property

Rental assistant lets your tenants report maintenance issues and ask questions about their lease. You turn it on one property at a time, and it's included with your PRO subscription at no extra cost.

This is a Landlord PRO and RentSpree PRO feature. Learn more about Landlord PRO

How to turn on Rental assistant

  1. Go to your hub and find the property you want to cover. You can also start from your properties list.
  2. Select the Maintenance tab on that property.
  3. Upload the signed lease. Rental assistant reads the lease to answer your tenant's questions, so this step is required.
  4. Confirm your tenant's contact details.
  5. Select Activate.

Your tenant can start using it right away. There's nothing for them to set up and nothing for them to pay.

Turn it on for each property separately

Activation covers one property, not your whole account. If you have 4 properties and turn it on for 1, the other 3 aren't covered. Repeat the steps above for each one.

If contractors aren't available in your area yet

Whether we can send a contractor depends on where the property is. We confirm that when you turn Rental assistant on. If your area isn't covered yet, your tenant can still report issues and get help troubleshooting them, but we won't schedule a contractor or send you anything to approve.
