While RentSpree and TransUnion may seem similar, RentSpree offers more features at a lower cost.
RentSpree vs. TransUnion- What's the difference?
- We include the online rental application in addition to the TransUnion screening reports. TransUnion does not offer the application.
- TransUnion charges applicants $40 for a credit report and score, criminal background check, and nationwide check on eviction-related proceedings. RentSpree charges less and provides the rental application as well!
- RentSpree provides additional marketing tools for you to use, such as:
- An ApplyLink™ to apply and screen directly for your property that can be posted on social media, the MLS, or any listing site you are advertising on.
- A Application Flyer to print and bring to live showings or open houses. Applicants can scan the QR code provided and submit a completed application and screening reports before leaving the property.
- Collect Rent through your RentSpree dashboard by connecting your online bank account and your Applicant's online bank account.
- Create public listing pages from your RentSpree account to showcase property listing photos, videos, amenities, and more!
- Create a Branding Page with RentSpree to showcase your expertise, licenses, and certifications.
- We offer RentSpree PRO, which is our service that offers extra features including:
- Document upload - Request extra documents from the applicant such as a government-issued ID, pay stubs, W-2s, and more!
- Reference checks - Upon request, RentSpree will reach out to employers, landlords, and references included on the rental application to verify the information provided.
- As RentSpree is not a CRA, Credit Reporting Agency, RentSpree uses TransUnion to generate the Credit Report, Criminal Background Check, and Eviction Related Proceedings.
