TransUnion asked me to email documents

If TransUnion asked you to email identity documents, they need up to 48 hours to review them. Your application stays on hold until TransUnion emails you to confirm your documents were accepted.

If you haven't sent your documents yet

Email them to mydocs@transunion.com. TransUnion will tell you which documents they need. You'll find their number and hours in How can I contact TransUnion?

If you're waiting on TransUnion's review

  1. Wait for TransUnion's confirmation email. Their review takes up to 48 hours.

  2. If TransUnion asks for a different document, send it. The 48-hour review starts again.

  3. When you get the confirmation email, return to RentSpree and select Continue on the TransUnion verification step to finish your screening.

Wait for TransUnion's confirmation before you select Continue. If you try sooner, the block is still in place, so you'll be sent back to the same verification screen. That's expected, and it doesn't mean anything is broken.

While you wait, your agent or the property representative sees your application package as in progress. If the delay is causing a problem, let them know.

If TransUnion can't verify you

Your application package can't move forward until verification is complete. If you can't pass verification, ask your agent or the property representative for a new application link that doesn't include TransUnion reports. It's up to them to decide whether that works for the property.
