How do I cancel a request to apply?
If you haven’t applied yet, open the invitation email and select I’m no longer interested. Once an application is submitted, it can’t be withdrawn on your own.
If you haven’t started your application
Open the invitation email you received and select I’m no longer interested, just below the Apply Now button. This lets the sender know you won’t be applying, and the reminder emails stop.
If you started but haven’t submitted
You don’t need to do anything. An application that stays In Progress is never submitted, isn’t shared with the agent or landlord, and has no effect on your account.
If you already submitted
A submitted application can’t be withdrawn or deleted from your account. You can still view and download your report package until the reports expire, so save a copy if you want one. If you need the application removed sooner, contact RentSpree support and a specialist can help.
Submitted applications are non-refundable, because your screening reports are available to you as soon as you submit. If you believe your situation should be an exception, a support specialist can review it.
