How to set up RentSpree Money to receive funds

RentSpree Money is a built-in banking account designed for landlords. When you set it up, rent deposits go directly into a dedicated account separate from your personal finances. You get a virtual and physical debit card for property expenses, transactions organized by property, and interest on your balance.

Two ways to get started

You can set up RentSpree Money from two places:

• When sending your first payment request: after clicking Send request, a prompt will appear asking where your payout should go. Click Continue to set up RentSpree Money, or Use another account to connect your own bank instead.
• From the Finance tab: go to Finance in your dashboard, click Banking, then click Get Started.

Choose your account type

On the Create Your Account page, select the option that fits your situation:

• Individual Sole Proprietor — you manage your rental as a personal investment
• Single-Member Business or Multiple-Member Business — your rental is owned by a business entity

Both paths will ask you to verify your identity and provide tax information. For individual accounts, you'll need your date of birth, Social Security number, and physical address. For business accounts, you'll also need your EIN and entity type. A verification code will be sent to your phone during setup.

Review, certify, and submit

After entering your information, you'll read and sign a certification, consent to electronic records and disclosures, then review and submit everything. Your application goes into review once submitted.

After you apply

RentSpree will notify you once your account is approved. After approval, you'll have access to your Banking Dashboard where you can view your debit card, fund your account, and track transactions by property.
