How to connect your own bank account

Prefer your existing bank account? Connect it through Stripe. The connection is secure, encrypted, and takes a few minutes.

How to connect your bank account

  1. When you send your first payment request, select Use another account at the payout prompt. Or from Payments > Settings, select Change under your payout account.

  2. Review the Stripe connection details, then select Agree and continue. Search for your bank and select it. Most major banks connect instantly. If yours isn't available, select Manually verify instead, which takes 1 to 2 business days.

  3. Choose how your rental income is managed, Individual or Business. This determines which tax forms you receive at year-end.

  4. Enter your legal name, date of birth, home address, phone number, the last 4 digits of your Social Security number, and upload a government-issued photo ID.

  5. Review everything and select Confirm. Your account is connected and ready to receive payments.

If you change your receiving account while a payment is processing, those funds still deposit to the account that was connected when the payment began processing.

Connect your account before the first payment is due. The first payout takes longer while your account is verified.
