How to connect your own bank account
Prefer your existing bank account? Connect it through Stripe. The connection is secure, encrypted, and takes a few minutes.
Getting started
- When you send your first payment request, select Use another account at the payout prompt.
- Or from Payments > Settings, select Change under your payout account.
Step 1: Connect through Stripe
Review the Stripe connection details, then select Agree and continue. Search for your bank and select it. Most major banks connect instantly. If yours isn't available, select Manually verify instead, which takes 1 to 2 business days.
Step 2: Verify your tax information
Choose how your rental income is managed, Individual or Business. This determines which tax forms you receive at year-end.
Step 3: Verify your identity
Enter your legal name, date of birth, home address, phone number, and the last 4 digits of your Social Security number, and upload a government-issued photo ID.
Step 4: Review and confirm
Review everything and select Confirm. Your account is connected and ready to receive payments.
You can't change your receiving account once a tenant's funds are processing.
Connect your account before the first payment is due. The first payment takes 7 to 10 business days.
