Depending on the details of the lease transaction you're working on, RentSpree has 3 different methods you can use to collect rental applications and screening reports from tenants: 1) Request Applications via Email, 2) Post or Share an Application Link, or 3) Print an Application Flyer.
In this section, we will explain the differences between each method and how they work.
Request Applications via Email - If you already have the email addresses for each applicant, this is probably the best method for you to use. Simply enter the email addresses for each applicant in the box and we will automatically send your applicants a link to apply:
Applicants will receive an email with your name and the property address. From there, they can complete the rental application and pull their screening reports. You will receive a notification email for each application that is submitted. This method is ideal if you had a showing or open house and collected email addresses for interested applicants. Alternatively, if you have received online inquiries for a property, you can enter email addresses to see which leads are willing too apply before seeing the property.
Post or Share an Application Link - This method makes it really easy for you to collect applications if you're the listing agent. When you post your listing to the MLS, you can post RentSpree's application link in the "private remarks" and/or "description" sections. That way, other agents will have access to your application and can pass it along to prospective tenants. Those applicants can apply using the link and the application will come back to you. Alternatively, you can post the link to your website or social media accounts for anyone to apply who's interested. You can even text the application link to applicants! Here is what it looks like to generate and copy the link:
When an application has been submitted, you'll receive an email notification to view, print, or save the application package.
Print Application Flyers - This method is great if you're going to be holding an open house or a showing. RentSpree actually generates a custom flyer that you can print and distribute to those who want to apply. The flyer contains a QR code and application link that renters can use to apply. You will also have the opportunity to include a custom message on the flyer. This is where agents can include their real estate license number and brokerage name. Otherwise, you can include additional pieces of information such as your phone number or the listing price.
The flyer also contains your name, email address, property address, and some information about applying with RentSpree:
