A Guide to Adding Multiple Contacts

Learn how to add multiple contacts to the Client Manager with our bulk upload feature.

Client Manager helps you build long-lasting relationships with your customers and partners.  And the best part is, you can add your current contacts into RentSpree!  In this article, you will learn how to add multiple contacts at one time in three easy steps.

  2. Organizing your CSV file

1. Create a CSV file 

To get started, you will need to have a spreadsheet saved as a CSV file.  You can download a sample CSV file at the end of this section to use as a reference.

Already have a CSV file

If you already have a spreadsheet of your contacts saved as a CSV file, that's great!  You can move ahead to the next section. 

Convert existing file to CSV

If you already have a file in a different format such as Excel (.xlsx), you can open it with Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, or Number and then save it as a CSV file.  

Use the pre-formatted CSV File

You are welcome to use the preformatted CSV spreadsheet below to enter your contacts to RentSpree contacts.

2. Organize your CSV file

Before you upload your CSV file, make sure the columns are titled correctly.  The first row will always consider as ‘column title’ e.g. first name, last name, email, etc.  


- Email


- First Name

- Middle Name

- Last Name

- Phone Number

- Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY)

- Move-in Date (MM/DD/YYYY)

- Street Address

- Unit Number

- City

- State (eg. CA, FL) 

- Zip Code

3. Uploading your file & checking for accuracy

Once you have your file formatted correctly and saved as a CSV, you are ready to upload it to RentSpree contacts.  

Upload your file

Navigate to the upload page and click to add your file.

Carefully check your contact email

Once imported, you can recheck your contact information on our ‘matching table’ (see sample image down below) to see if the information in each row matches the column title or not.



Note: In order to import the list successfully, each contact must have an email address listed.  

If you do see any information missing, go ahead and fill it in before you proceed to the next step.  Once you have checked your file for accuracy, you may submit it.  Your contacts will automatically be added to RentSpree contacts!
