Request More Documents
You can request extra documents if you are a RentSpree PRO member. These documents include but are not limited to the following:
- Proof of income
- Government-issued ID
- Bank statements
- Tax returns
- W-2's
- Pet photos
- A pet application (not provided by RentSpree)
However, when you initiate a screening, you can ask for documents when adding Income Verification Report.
How to Request Documents When Initiating a Screening
- Initiate a screening on your RentSpree account
- Once on the Select Applications Options page, choose your options in Steps 1 & 2
- In Step 3, include the Income Verification Report along with the TransUnion screening reports
- Select the Customize document request button
- A pop-up will appear that will allow you to select the documents you want your applicant to upload and enter specific instructions on what you want uploaded
- Once all your preferred documents have been selected and instructions have been entered, click Save
- After selecting your options and generating your ApplyLink, applicants will be able to upload the requested documents when completing their submission online
How to Request Documents After Someone Has Applied
If an applicant has already completed their screening request, you can collect supplemental documents while viewing their application.
- On your RentSpree Dashboard, click Screening on the left side.
- You can select an applicant from whom you would like to request documents from
- Once you click on the applicant, click the Other Docs tab at the top of the screen.
- You can select the types of documents you want the renter to upload. You may also add instructions for each field to explain what is needed to be uploaded (i.e. 3 months of paystubs, Specific year for W-2, etc.).
- After you've selected one or more documents, you can click the Send Requests button at the top of the screen.
The applicant will then receive an email notification to upload the documents. You will receive an email notification when all documents have been uploaded, and you can access them all from your dashboard.
