FAQ: What do I do if my application shows "Reports Pending/Unavailable?"
If you see a "Reports Pending/Unavailable" status during your rental application, it means your TransUnion screening reports are temporarily unavailable. This is usually intermittent and resolves on its own. Follow the steps below to get back on track.
What Does "Reports Pending" Mean?
After submitting payment for your rental application, RentSpree asks you to review and confirm the accuracy of your TransUnion screening reports before you can complete your final submission. If those reports aren't ready yet, you'll see a "Reports Pending/Unavailable" status.
This status creates a temporary blocker — you won't be able to move forward with the final steps of your application until your TransUnion reports are confirmed. The good news is that this issue is typically intermittent and short-lived.

Why Does This Happen?
"Reports Pending/Unavailable" can appear for a few common reasons:
- TransUnion is still processing your reports — Screening reports can take a few minutes to generate after payment, especially during high-traffic periods.
- TransUnion is experiencing a system outage — Screening reports may be delayed while TransUnion's system is unavailable.
How to Resolve It
Follow these steps in order:
Step 1 — Wait 30 minutes and try again This error is typically intermittent. Close your browser, wait at least 30 minutes, then return to your application and try to resume from where you left off. In most cases, your reports will be available by then.
Step 2 — Check for a known outage If the issue persists after 30 minutes, visit status.rentspree.com to see if there is an active, reported outage affecting TransUnion report generation. If an outage is listed, your reports will become available once the issue is resolved — no action is needed on your end.
Step 3 — Contact RentSpree Support If you've waited 30 minutes, confirmed there's no active outage, and are still seeing "Reports Pending," there may be an account-specific issue that requires individual review. Reach out to our support team:

Important Reminders
- Your payment is safe and secure — seeing "Reports Pending" does not mean your payment failed or your application was lost.
- Do not submit a new application or pay the fee again while waiting for this to resolve unless advised by the RentSpree Support team.
- Your application progress is saved and will be right where you left it when you return.
