Why can't I see a report the applicant says they submitted?

After an applicant submits their screening reports, they go straight to the property representative who created the request. If a submitted report isn't showing on your dashboard, here's how to track it down.

The report isn't ready yet

Open the Screening tab and check the applicant's status: Not started, In progress, Submitted, or Report expired (reports expire after 30 days). Only Submitted reports are ready to view, and remember to check all pages of applicants.

You have more than one RentSpree account

If you got an email notification but don't see the report, it may be in another account. Log in with the email that received the notification. If you're taken straight in without entering credentials, log out and back in with the right ones. Still missing? Contact support — you may need to connect your MLS, brokerage, or association account first.

The applicant submitted to themselves

Occasionally an applicant applies through an application link they created themselves, so the report isn't tied to you. Ask them to log in and check whether their own name shows as the property representative on the submission. If so, send them a screening request from your account so they submit directly to you. If they paid, have them contact us.

The applicant submitted to a different property representative

If their submission shows someone else's name or email as the property representative, the report didn't come to you. Send your own screening request so they can submit it directly to you.

"Your account does not have permission to access this page"

This means the report link doesn't match your account. If a property representative shared it, ask them to share it with you properly. If an applicant forwarded you a completion email, that link is only for their own account — send them a screening request instead. You may also be logged into the wrong account: log out and back in, or open a private window and sign in fresh.

Still stuck? Contact support. Two related questions: how long reports take to process and who pays the application fee.
