A guide to viewing shared reports as a Landlord or Owner
When an agent or property representative shares a screening package with you, here's how to access and view the full reports.
Step 1: Check your email notification
You'll receive an email notifying you that a screening package has been shared with you. Check the To field on that email — you'll need to log into RentSpree using whichever email address the notification was sent to.
Step 2: Log in or create a free account
Go to rentspree.com and either:
-
- Log in to your existing RentSpree account, if it uses the same email the notification was sent to, or
- Create a free RentSpree account using that email address if you don't have one yet
Step 3: Navigate to Screening
Once logged in, select Screening from the left navigation menu on your dashboard.
Step 4: Complete identity verification (first time only)
Before you can view TransUnion screening reports, you'll need to complete a one-time identity verification. This is required to protect the applicant's sensitive credit and background information.
Follow the prompts to complete verification — you'll only need to do this once.
Step 5: Open the applicant's reports
Find the applicant's name in the list and select it to view their full screening package, which may include their rental application, credit report, criminal background check, and eviction history.
Don't see all the reports you were expecting?
The reports visible to you depend on what your agent or property representative chose to share. If something appears to be missing, reach out to your agent directly and ask them to share the additional reports from their RentSpree dashboard.
